FOX Picked DC Comics' 'Lucifer' for Pilot Order

FOX will attempt to add another DC Comics property to their prime time lineup very soon. They have ordered a Pilot for 'Lucifer' after a long process of getting it ready.

Last fall, Fox did a "Put Pilot" on Lucifer, which means they would pay some penalties if it never got pass the scripting stage. The team behind the scenes is very talented and no strangers to drama action. Big time producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, will be executive producing with Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed.

Californication creator Tom Kapinos will script the pilot with Len Wiseman (Underworld, Sleepy Hollow) directing it.

That is pretty great team all around to bring this awesome comic series to life on screen. Although, we will hold reservations because of the direction they are going.

Hollywood Reporter says the premise will Lucifer "who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals."

That isn't really close to how the comic went but for television's sake and FOX turning things into a police procedural, lets hope it works. Lucifer is an amazing deep character who deserves more recognition but hopefully this won't go down the wrong road. More info to come!

AMC Teases The Walking Dead Season 5 with Poster

AMC's The Walking Dead broke its own record for season finale Sunday night with 15.7 million viewers. Holy toledo thats a lot of people watching people deal with personal problems in a zombie apocalypse. I love USA folks.

Since we will be without The Walking Dead until the return with season five, we get a cool teaser poster for it now. The poster just has the words "survive" and Andrew Lincoln aka Rick kneeling down. I like the image a lot and I can't wait for season five because if you read comics, you know it will be one action filled season.

'Girl Meets World' Picked Up by Disney! First Images Released

Its Official: Disney Channel has picked the spinoff show Girl Meets World for series in 2014. That means that the original series Boy Meets World will live on and have everyone back for another go around. I'm 90s kid smitten right now. (Considering I was 8 when the show ended, hey I watched tons of re-runs in my day!)

The series will revolve around Ben Savage and Danielle Fischel's, Cory and Topanga's, daughter Riley in her tween years just like the original show did her parents. Seems only worthy it will happen that way. I haven't watched anything on Disney Channel in years, but I might make a stop by to check this out.

Cast members of the original series are expected to stop by here and there though out, with even the amazing Mr. Feeny in the pilot. Now, we just need cory's parents and brother Eric. I wonder what ever happened to his character in the universe? We must find out!

The series will air sometime in 2014. What do you guys think about it? Good to see old faces on Disney or will it crash?

For the first episode free, just check out iTunes and bam! for free. Yep, thats right, for freeee.

The series premiere is Sunday July 7th, but a special 1-hour preview airs May 26th.

First Trailer for 'Arrested Development' Season 4!!

It's been seven years since the amazing 'Arrested Development' went lights out, but thats not keeping it down forever. Netflix decided to breath the life back into the Bluthe family for a 4th season that will stream all 15 episodes at midnight on May 26th. I recently decided to start watching the series on Neflix a few weeks ago because I've never seen it really (I know I'm crazy!!!). The show is pure comical genius and by the look of the trailer, it will still be a high point for the series. Check it out below.

The trailer is after the jump!

The First Trailer for 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

The Avengers was a huge thing last year if you missed it. You'd have to be under a rock to have missed any news about it, but they announced they are making a tv series based around agents in the S.H.I.E.L.D. doing their thing when the Avengers are off doing bigger things. I will say that one guy in the trailer reminds me of Luke Cage a lot. (not just because he's big and black, but because he's strong and powerful!). Anyways, check out the trailer and see how it actually doesn't look too bad being it's on ABC.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series.  “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

After the jump is the trailer make sure to check it out!

That Veronica Mars Movie is Up to the Fans with Kickstarter!

Veronica Mars was a tv series on UPN that last only 3 seasons before ending in 2007. The series has a pretty big cult following and has only grown over the past 6 years of it being gone. How do they fix that? They will finally make a movie based on the series bringing everyone back! The only thing is it will only be done if the fans fund it though Kickstarter.

Series creator Rob Thomas has finally figured out that fans are the people who can make this thing happen and the Kickstarter is asking for 2 million dollars to finance a low-budget movie and Warner Bros. has agreed to pay for marketing and release cost for a first quarter 2014 release. Pretty sweet huh? I think so.

The incentives range from a personalized voicemail from cast to a speaking role in film! There are many more of them so check them out on the official page at Veronica Mars Kickstarter and make a donation.

It looks like all the publicity this thing is getting is working great! The project has only been live for not even a day and has passed the 1 Million mark! Holy bejeepers! Keep the money coming fans and we can get a pretty sweet movie out of this thing.

Once again here is the official Kickstarter page

The CW Renews Arrow and Supernatural!

The CW finally listed off their first renewals of the upcoming season with giving new seasons to, well their biggest (best shows) Supernatural and Arrow.

Supernatural is the longest running series on the CW with 9 seasons after this next year, premiering way back in 2005 on than The WB *tears I miss it*. The series recently saw an increase in viewers since being on right after freshman series Arrow.

Arrow, the youngling series, was a no brainer for renewal since it had the biggest series premiere on CW since 2009. Also, holding the biggest draw of viewers on the network every week. It's the golden boy of the network and expect big stuff for the 2nd season.

CW is very excited about this releasing the statement: “We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on," says Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, "and now with our new hit 'Arrow' and fan favorite 'Supernatural' on Wednesday night, and the continued success of 'The Vampire Diaries' on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that. Not only do 'Arrow', 'Supernatural', and 'The Vampire Diaries' perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”

Also, since CW is taking a cool trend into more of cool not high school soaps, we get a renewal of the popular teen vampire series Vampire Diaries.

No News on other shows yet on CW, but who watches any of those? do you?

First Look at Deadshot on The CW's Arrow

The CW is getting very close to premiering their return to DC Comics lore with Arrow. I will say I love the more gritty look that is coming up more and more with comic book shows and films. Arrow looks promising and I'm pretty interested in seeing how the villains will turnout being different looking than comics.

I am in a need for a Smallville replacement! So Wednesday October 10th can't get here soon enough.

Here is first look at Deadshot (Michael Rowe)

Fringe Gets Final Season Renewal!!!

FOX has finally given in to the huge fan outcry for a 5th and final season of the cult hit "Fringe"! The show has been in turmoil for a few seasons being it started costing more to make the show than it was making for the network, but yet it has a very loyal and stubborn fan base. They went so far as even having a twitter campaign to renewal it for 5th season. That is dedication. I would have just wrote an email if they are lucky enough for that and I love the show! *not most outgoing fan but still*

Having the next season at 13 episodes we will for sure get a series wrap-up and hopefully a fulfilling series finally. (I hate shows that end with a cliffhanger and we never find out what the hell happened to woody and Bullseye…wait never mind)

The press release:
"Fringe is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television's most imaginative dramas. Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve," said Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly. "The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it's going to be a very exciting final chapter."
Also, if the series would have ended they had plans for a comic-book series continuation much in same manner as Buffy. That sounds awesome too.

The Governator trailer Online!

So, the story goes like this; a few weeks ago Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that his next project was going to something with the legendary Stan Lee. I thought "okay…just wait and see how it turns out". Well I waited and I'm very disappointed in Arnie and Stan. The story is completely stupid and sounds kinda boring. I do however like the animation style because it reminds me of the classic 90's era cartoons.

Also, they announced that the series will be made into a movie for a 2013 release in 3D. Why Arnie? Whyyyyy?!

The Governator will be released late 2012

Just watch the trailer and see how bad it is for yourself.

Trailer for New Thundercats Series

WonderCon was this past weekend and we have been blessed with some trailers for upcoming movies and tv shows. One of those tv shows are the new reboot of the classic Thundercats. I'm not really the biggest fan of the series, but I'm pretty sure some old-school nerds are smitten right now.

Here is the trailer for the new series Thundercats that will air on Cartoon Network

First Look at Wonder Woman's Costume

NBC and Warner Bros. Television released the first look at Adrianne Palicki in full Wonder Woman costume. The costume seems pretty decent and looks very uncomfortable. The costume takes homage to the newer costume in the comics and covers more skin than the 70's version. That's pretty ironic considering what was allowed on tv back than. Also, I'm not really a fan of Palicki, but I hope she can pull it off as Wonder Woman.

The Wonder Woman pilot episode will air on NBC later this fall

First Look at Nickelodeon's TMNT

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting article on the new updated version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT).

The new series will be a cg rendition and will make the four brothers have personality and individual attributes. The previous series' have always had the brothers looking to similar and the personalty was there though. I think from the image they look pretty similar still.

TMNT will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2012.

I've blown up the image as big as I could before it was too distorted. I will try to get hi-res version online shortly.

EW has a short look at the series, but they are being stubborn and won't let me embedded the video the site. So, here is a link to the first look. I'm not sure I like the simple cg animation, yet.

Also, the live-action reboot will be released sometime in 2013. I figured I would let you fans know that little fact.

SDCC: Comic-Con Footage of The Walking Dead

Some brave soldier recorded a decent bootlegged version of the extended trailer shown at Comic-Con. The show has been at the top of my to-watch list for quite some time, because I love zombies and Frank Darabont (The Mist,  The Shawshank Redemption).

The Walking dead is based on the hit comic-book series and will premiere on AMC in October 2010.

The Walking Dead tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and follows a small group of survivors traveling across the country in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies. The group is led by Rick Grimes, who was a police officer in the old world, and as their situation grows more and more grim, the group's desperation to survive pushes them to do almost anything to stay alive.
