AMC Teases The Walking Dead Season 5 with Poster

AMC's The Walking Dead broke its own record for season finale Sunday night with 15.7 million viewers. Holy toledo thats a lot of people watching people deal with personal problems in a zombie apocalypse. I love USA folks.

Since we will be without The Walking Dead until the return with season five, we get a cool teaser poster for it now. The poster just has the words "survive" and Andrew Lincoln aka Rick kneeling down. I like the image a lot and I can't wait for season five because if you read comics, you know it will be one action filled season.

Comic-Con: First Trailer for The Walking Dead Season 4 Online!

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) has started off with a boom this week and so much news and so little time to get it all online for your pretty geek minds to awww over. I've been doing that the last 2 days! It isn't even the weekend yet.

The Panel for AMC's The Walking Dead was held a little bit ago in legendary Hall H and some things were viewed that were accepted greatly and a few boos to some characters. There was a ton of new footage shown that feature walkers acting different and walkers in the prison! Who let them in? hmm.

The trailer has made its way online and here it is fellas!

The Walking Dead returns on October 13th

Super Bowl Ads: Time Warner Walking Dead Spots are Awesome

The Super Bowl is coming very soon, but it's never too early to get the ads beforehand! I Mean isn't that the only reason we watch the game is for commercials. We are bound to get some sweet movie previews and it's always cool to get a few good product placement ads.

Here is Time Warner's spots featuring zombies galore in this funny The Walking Dead themed spots. Also, we get a hilarious few *literally few lines* from Daryl Dixon himself. Check them out below

Scott Gimple is New Showrunner for The Walking Dead

AMC has had quite a hard time on keeping a showrunner for the mega-hit series The Walking Dead over just three seasons. First they loose creator/first showrunner Frank Darabont during season 2 (due to conflicts). Then, a few weeks ago, replacement showrunner Glen Mazzara announced he would leave after completing season 3. That is not looking too good for this hit show, but today TV Line gave the news that current supervising producer Scott Gimple will take over the undead reigns starting with season 4.

Mazzara stated only "over a difference of opinion" as the reason for leaving the show after he made quite possibly the best season of the show. That really is hard to get a straight reason for leaving, but we heard everything from him getting into it with creator Robert Kirkman to difference with AMC over where to go next. Lets hope Gimple can keep the show fresh and awesome like this season has been.

Frank Darabont Developing L.A. Noir for TNT

After leaving the phenomenal drama/horror The Walking Dead after season 1, Frank must be dying to get a new show off the ground. Well he has found that project and it's for TNT. The show is an adaptation of a book called L.A. Noir by John Buntin. (not the game sorry fellow gamers) I am very excited to see him show running another great series soon.

Darabont will write and direct the pilot while being executive producer for the entire series. Pretty involved there aren't we Frank. I'm glad to see him back in full swing.

The series will follow a former police chief William Parker and mobster Mickey Cohen for control of the luchsious Los Angeles in the 40's and 50's. The time period will reflect "a world of glamorous movie stars, powerful studio heads, returning war heroes, a powerful and corrupt police force and an even more dangerous criminal network determined to make L.A. its West Coast base."

I can't wait to see this show whenever it hits the waves.

The Walking Dead lose Writers

The Walking Dead tv series writer/executive producer/director Frank Darabont has let go (fired) the shows writers. That seems a little wierd considering the show just got renewed for a 13 episode season set to air fall of 2011.

Deadline is reporting that Darabont wants to go with some freelance writers for episodes. That isn't a bad idea because it would add some new talant and ideas into the show. Also, it could be bad because they would lose some of the original goal by firing the original writers.

If you don't want that to happen, just stay calm for a while. Darabont said they would consider everthing and maybe have a staff of writers working with freelance writers. Everybody is happy in the end.

The Walking Dead will air its season finale this Sunday.

SDCC: Comic-Con Footage of The Walking Dead

Some brave soldier recorded a decent bootlegged version of the extended trailer shown at Comic-Con. The show has been at the top of my to-watch list for quite some time, because I love zombies and Frank Darabont (The Mist,  The Shawshank Redemption).

The Walking dead is based on the hit comic-book series and will premiere on AMC in October 2010.

The Walking Dead tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and follows a small group of survivors traveling across the country in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies. The group is led by Rick Grimes, who was a police officer in the old world, and as their situation grows more and more grim, the group's desperation to survive pushes them to do almost anything to stay alive.
