TNT Releases First Trailer for Frank Darabont's MOB CITY

TNT finally released a trailer for Mob City (previously LA Noir) and I must say it looks amazing!

Showrunner Frank Darabont decided this was a great series to back after leaving The Walking Dead and taking a few stars along with him. By the looks of the trailer this was a great casting choice in Jon Bernthal as the main character.

Check out this very stylized trailer along with a cool look at Simon Pegg doing an american accent pretty darn good! I know I'm surprised too don't worry.

The full synopsis is after the jump!

Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen Eying 'Godzilla' Reboot

Legendary Pictures is moving more swiftly than originally thought with their Godzilla reboot. Amazing writer/director Frank Darabont is currently rewriting the script that was penned by Max Borenstein. So while that is being done, sources are telling Variety that Legendary is eying the talented Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen to join the cast.

Now, being that the script isn't even turned into the head honchos for review, we can't expect to get the characters these people are expected to portray. Besides having these 2 join the cast, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is also rumored to take a lead role in the film. Sounds pretty "Kick-Ass" if I do say so myself *slapping my knees*.

Godzilla, directed by Gareth Edwards, is set to begin production next month for a release next March 14th, 2014. That doesn't leave much time for casting to be finished, so expect official words on these people sooner than later.

Scott Gimple is New Showrunner for The Walking Dead

AMC has had quite a hard time on keeping a showrunner for the mega-hit series The Walking Dead over just three seasons. First they loose creator/first showrunner Frank Darabont during season 2 (due to conflicts). Then, a few weeks ago, replacement showrunner Glen Mazzara announced he would leave after completing season 3. That is not looking too good for this hit show, but today TV Line gave the news that current supervising producer Scott Gimple will take over the undead reigns starting with season 4.

Mazzara stated only "over a difference of opinion" as the reason for leaving the show after he made quite possibly the best season of the show. That really is hard to get a straight reason for leaving, but we heard everything from him getting into it with creator Robert Kirkman to difference with AMC over where to go next. Lets hope Gimple can keep the show fresh and awesome like this season has been.

Frank Darabont Developing L.A. Noir for TNT

After leaving the phenomenal drama/horror The Walking Dead after season 1, Frank must be dying to get a new show off the ground. Well he has found that project and it's for TNT. The show is an adaptation of a book called L.A. Noir by John Buntin. (not the game sorry fellow gamers) I am very excited to see him show running another great series soon.

Darabont will write and direct the pilot while being executive producer for the entire series. Pretty involved there aren't we Frank. I'm glad to see him back in full swing.

The series will follow a former police chief William Parker and mobster Mickey Cohen for control of the luchsious Los Angeles in the 40's and 50's. The time period will reflect "a world of glamorous movie stars, powerful studio heads, returning war heroes, a powerful and corrupt police force and an even more dangerous criminal network determined to make L.A. its West Coast base."

I can't wait to see this show whenever it hits the waves.
