First Trailer for Marvel's 'Avengers Assemble' + First Episode Free Now!

It feels like a new Avengers animated series comes around every so often, so here is a new series that has a animated take from Joss Whedon's Avengers film universe. Or it has that "feel" with the inclusion of Falcon as the new Avenger.

The series will do the usual Avengers plot points of them fighting the worlds supervillians. The 1 hour special premiere will feature Red Skull. The animation does have some production value to it and could be an interesting series.

For the first episode free, just check out iTunes and bam! for free. Yep, thats right, for freeee.

The series premiere is Sunday July 7th, but a special 1-hour preview airs May 26th.

The First Trailer for 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

The Avengers was a huge thing last year if you missed it. You'd have to be under a rock to have missed any news about it, but they announced they are making a tv series based around agents in the S.H.I.E.L.D. doing their thing when the Avengers are off doing bigger things. I will say that one guy in the trailer reminds me of Luke Cage a lot. (not just because he's big and black, but because he's strong and powerful!). Anyways, check out the trailer and see how it actually doesn't look too bad being it's on ABC.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series.  “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

After the jump is the trailer make sure to check it out!

First Poster for Thor: The Dark World Online!

Marvel Studios will have yet another big year. They have Iron Man 3 coming out in just weeks and Thor: The Dark World in November. We haven't seen much of anything for Thor so we are due for something good. We now have a nice little poster for the film that features Thor (Chris Hemsworth) himself.

The sequel takes place in the aftermath of Thor and Marvel's The Avengers, following Thor as he fights to restore order across the cosmos when an ancient race, led by the vengeful Malekith, returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Thor: The Dark World strikes theaters on November 8th

Rumor: Marvel has Big Plans for Hulk after Avengers 2

POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR MARVEL'S FUTURE FILMS!!!

This is some big news, if it turns out to be true, we will be seeing more Hulk than we initially thought. Bruce Banner/Hulk isn't getting his own film in Marvel's Phase II, although he was the life and best part of The Avengers. So, what does that mean for the big giant? Well, he will be given a Phase III movie and a huge part of The Avengers 3. Now, just take all of what I said and will say as rumors from  a source at Latino Review (which they have been pretty spot on with a lot of Marvel news).

So, stating that we are having a huge slate of Phase II sequels to Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, The Avengers, and new entries Guardians of the Galaxy than Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange for Phase III. The Hulk is nowhere in sight until The Avengers 2. Well, with what rumors have been circulating, the Hulk will be given a third act or post-credit scene to set up his on film in Phase III. Pretty sweet huh? gets better…

The Hulks next standalone film is based on Planet Hulk! That is just awesome!!

  • So how does that post-credit scene lead up to that? The Marvel Cinematic version of the Illuminati (in comics consist of Iron Man, Reed Richards, Black Bolt, Prof. X, etc…) will deem the Hulk too dangerous for Earth and ship the guy into space. He will end up on a plant…Planet Hulk…well actually it's called Sakaar. He will go to gladiator-type games against other aliens, while being enslaved and then becomes a hero and starts a rebellion against the King. *causes trouble everywhere doesn't he*.

Doesn't end there, no sir!

  • Well, somewhere down the line Hulk makes his way back to earth. And I don't know about you but I'd be a wee bit POed at the guys who sent me into deep space. So the rumors go that The Avengers 3 will largely be based the hit series World War Hulk, where Banner and his new army take on the Avengers, who banished him. Sounds absolutely crazy! So crazy it just might work.
This is all speculation for now, but if true we shall see Hulk be a bigger part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with adaptions of Planet Hulk and World War Hulk. Expect news to come !

Awesome Splatter Paint Superheros

These Splatter paintings just are completely awesome. When I saw the Batman and Wonder Woman ones I had a nerdgasm. Just kidding…only when I saw the Batman one..so anyways.. This ingenious artist name Arian Noveir has blessed us nerds with some awesome (digital) splatter paintings of just about all the most iconic superheros *minus mighty mouse* and they are fantastic. I want to buy a print of a few myself.

So here are the prints. You can buy them including iPhone covers, laptop covers, shirts, etc…. at Noveir's site society6.com

Here are Superman and Batman

The rest are after the jump. And I recommend checking them out because they include Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, and Hellboy. They are pretty amazing.

New Cool Avengers Banners

A new banner poster (or just individual posters but together to make a banner) of the main avengers has made its way online. The banner is nothing really new but the Hulk one looks pretty intriguing. Also, I just love how Iron Man has no helmet on while old Capt still has his full mask on, and where is Hawkeye or Black Widow in that banner. Oh wait, another banner has made it's way online a little bit later having the rest of the team (with main villain Loki thrown in) in their very own makeshift banner of posters. Hawkeye looks pretty boss (ya i said boss).

Here is the Banner featuring the main Avengers (Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor)

Here is the "the other guys" plus Hawkeye. He is the only one that should be with the main cast. (Nick Fury, Loki, Hawkeye, Black Widow)

The Avengers Trailer!!

Finally we have been blessed with the long-waited for trailer for the upcoming epic nerdgasm film The Avengers. The trailer actually shows more footage then I thought Joss Whedon would allow knowing his vow to secretcy almost on par with J.J. Abrams. The footage looks really amazing and it gives everyone screen time accept I would like to see more of Hawkeye and Hulk. Also, I'm loving Stark's humor, it's fantastic as always.

Summer 2012 will be blockbuster crazy with The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The  Avengers.

New Pics from The Avengers

I know i've missed so much of The Avengers coverage over the last couple of months. I am sorry again. So I'll start fresh with some awesome photos that were featured in EW and other sites last week with 2 brand new ones that popped up online.

The first (new) photos feature a epic scene with Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) looking up at what I assume to be the enemy. The second new image is of director Joss Whedon talking to Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) with a guy posing like fonzie in the background.

Other photos are awesome and are worth looking at after the jump

SDCC: Amazing Marvel Booth at Comic-Con

Marvel really went all out this year on their booth at Comic-Con. They made the overall theme Thor, which is predictable because it's their next big movie. Here is a list of the cool things did.

First thing they did was have a sweet replica of Odin's Throne as the center piece. This thing looked amazing and expensive.

Then they unveiled the helmets worn by the cast of Thor including Thor's, Odin's and Loki's helmets in a really nice glass case.

Then, they had Thor Director Kenneth Branagh open those mysterious golden doors at the top of the throne and give us the first look at The Destroyer. The Destroyer is an enchanted suit of armor forged by Odin, that when it is animated by a user it possesses the strength to exceed beings such as Thor and is almost totally invulnerable. Loki has used it against Thor many times in the comics. It looks pretty cool.

Then on the last day of Comic-Con they unveiled Captain America's Shield that Chris Evans is actually using on set. The shield looks really cool and even better when it's in a nice glass case.

Then, while they focused all their attention on Captain America's Shield they took the tarp off another glass case and revealed one of Marvel's Most powerful weapons The Infinity Gauntlet. This huge golden gauntlet is a beast to say the least because when one assembles six immensely powerful stones on the glove, each granting its bearer with mastery over one aspect of the universe: Mind, Reality, Time, Space, Soul and Power. Combined on the Infinity Gauntlet, they make the user omnipotent.  That just sounds amazing.

Marvel really have out done themselves this year and I can't wait to see what they got in store for next year.

What do you think about all of these Thor pieces? They cool? Do have any plot idea's for whats in Thor? Leave us a comment on what you think.

SDCC: Marvel Panel with The Avengers Cast!!

The biggest panel to me at Comic-Con this year was the Marvel Studios panel in Hall H. I was pretty blown away with what they did with Tron: Legacy on Thursday, but this definitely steals the show.

The panel would consist of Thor and maybe some footage of Captain America because it's been filming for about 9 days. However,  I was not expecting to anything for The Avengers because it hasn't even began production yet.

The first group at the panel was for Captain America and they started off with a teaser trailer that showed some stuff during WWII and a quick shots of Captain America.

They brought out director Joe Johnston with stars Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving.

Kevin Feige said "The footage of Captain America was just from the costume test."

Right after they finished with Captain America they began the Thor panel with some stellar footage that shows some scenes that sum up the plot.

Then the next bit of news really surprised me because they showed a teaser trailer for The Avengers. The trailer showed nothing but the avengers emblem and a voiceover by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

They then introduce Sam Jackson himself then they bring out the rest of the cast including Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America and then Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

Robert Downey talked about how some people say Inception is the most "ambitious" film ever made and he says bring all of these heroes together for The Avengers would be the most "ambitious" film ever made.

Downey then introduced and confirmed some major news about characters by saying Clinton Barton......is Jeremy Renner and then said "Reprising his role as Bruce Banner....Mark Ruffalo." The last part was funny joke, but sad for Edward Norton.

So, at the end of the day we got to see a teaser for Captain America, some sweet footage from Thor and a teaser trailer that is very teasing because it shows no footage at all of The Avengers. This panel sounds pretty amazing.

Here is picture of The Avengers cast with new additions Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo. Click pic to make huge.

What you think about the casting and how was this years panel for Marvel. Amazing or okay to say the least? Leave us a comment on what you think.

New Thor Movie Still

Last week L.A. Times released a pic from Thor. Now they have released another movie still from the upcoming comic-book film Thor The still shows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) kneeling infront of Odin (Anthony Hopkins) with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Odin's wife Frigga (Rene Russo), who raised Thor has if he were her own child. On the right is Hogun (Tadanobu Asano) and Fandral (Josh Dallas), two of the members of the "The Warrior's Three", Thor's comrades and best friends. The scene looks pretty epic to say the least.

Director Kenneth Branagh is staying true to the comics because Odin's throne is the hilt of the Sword of Doom. So, it's save to say that Branagh did his homework and might make a Marvel movie to rival the awesomeness of Iron Man.

Thor hits theaters in 2D and 3D on May 6, 2011.

Cool New Thor Pic

LA Times has released a new image for Marvel's upcoming Thor. The image shows Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

In other Thor news, Hero Complex has revealed information that will anger some movie fanatics and will make average movie-goers happy. The news is Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America will be released in 3D. I would be okay with it if they were filmed in 3D and not "converted".

The Directors of Thor (Kenneth Branagh) and Captain America (Joe Johnston) are a little hesitant about using 3D, but they believe they could make it work, unlike Clash of the Titans and The Last Airbender

So I can't wait to see how they will look when they come out.

Thor hits theaters on May 16, 2011 and Captain America hits on July 22, 2011.

Captain America and Thor Concept Art

Concept Art of Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor have surfaced and they both show some cool features along with some odd ones too.

Captain America's costume doesn't have the iconic wings and mask and basically is a mix of classic Cap and the more realistic "Ultimates" uniform. More pics at AICN

The Thor uniform is more of the classic but does seem unrealistic , but this is mostly because of the lighting in the concept art and the real pic (Below) released awhile back

Daily Movie News

Here is the Daily Movie News for Thursday December 17th, 2009

* Director Brian Singer (X-Men,Valkyrie, Superman Returns) is returning to the X-Men series. He announced at the premier of Avatar that he has signed on as Director of X-Men: First Class. First Class is the next origin story in the X-Men universe. The film will have a look at the early days of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and many others at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Also, just announced that a new writer Jamie Moss (Street Kings) will write a draft for the film. Josh Schwartz wrote the original draft. So I cant wait for some good X-Men movies.

* Rene Russo (Lethal Weapon 3) has been cast in Kenneth Branagh's Thor. She will be joining the already amazing cast as Odin's wife Frigga, who is Thor's "Stepmom". The list of actors being cast in this film is outstanding. So look for this movie in early 2011.

* An arrest has been made in the Wolverine: Origins leak before the film hit theaters. They are taking bootleggers very serious now, so watch out and don't do it or get caught.

* IESB reported that Spider-Man 4 "has been put on indefinite hold", but this was proven to be false. The production is taking a break for the holidays. This is not that unusual either, alot of films do this during the holidays.

* Golden Globe Winners Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio will present director Martin Scorsese with the Cecil B. DeMille award at "The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards" on Sunday,  January 17th.

* Dreamworks Animation has hired Ethan Reiff (Kung Fu Panda) and Cyrus Voris to Adapt Gil's All Fright Diner by author A. Lee Martinez. The story revolves around a vampire and werewolf. They Battle zombies and try to save the world. after they stop at a diner in the desert that is a conduit for the supernatural. So sounds like this could be awesome with a plot like this one.

Daily Movie News

Daily Movie News for November 17, 2009

* Entertainment Weekly is reporting that CW's Smallville is getting a 2 hour tv movie called Smallville: Absolute Justice. The film will combine episodes "Society" and "Justice" with only one set of credits. Premieres on February 5th, 2010.

* Variety reported that Thor director Kenneth Branagh has signed Stuart Townsend (Queen of the Damned), Ray Stevenson (Punisher:Warzone), and Tadanobu Asano (Mongol) have been cast as The Warriors Three. The Warriors Three are a trio of Asgurdian Adventurers who fight alongside the norse god Thor. Townsend plays Fandral , Stevenson plays Volstagg the Valiant, and Asano plays Hogun the Grim.

* Director J.J. Abrams gave a lot of news on his projects. He said his people are working on the script for Mission Impossible IV. He says that they have an incredibly cool story for it. Also, He isn't sure if he is directing the next Star Trek because of no idea when the script gets finished, time with his family, and other projects in the way. He declined talking about his project Micronauts based on the 70's popular toy line. He did say they are casting for his new series for NBC called "Undercovers". He is excited about going to do more spy related things because it is similar but different then his previous spy related projects.

* Variety reports that Universal Pictures is near a deal with Carl Eric Rinsch to make his feature film debut on 47 Ronin, the epic period samurai swordsmen tale with Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) attached to star.

* Director Joe Wright (Atonement) has been linked to direct the Focus Features film "Hanna". Hanna is about a 14 year-old girl raised by her father to be a cold-blooded killing machine.

* Disney put 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea remake by McG (Terminator 4) on hold indefinitely. They will not proceed with the film for now, and McG has confirmed he has withdrawn as director. He is attached to another indefinite film Terminator 5, due to the rights being sold because of bankrupty.

* The film making powerhouse MGM is considering alternatives like sales of rights, merging with other companies, or going as a standalone company to get out of bankruptcy. No news on the fate of the Bond franchise and the highly anticipated Hobbit films.

Daily Movie News

Its Wednesday time for your Daily Movie News.

* MTV talked to David S. Goyer for what we can expect for Ghost Rider 2, which he says its not exactly a reboot, but picks up 8 years after the first film. He said " I hate to say it's more realistic, because he's got a flaming skull for a head, but its a bit more stripped down and darker," he also said "It's definitely changing tone. What "Casino Royale" was for the Bond movies. Hopefully this will be to Ghost Rider."

* The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have announced that Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will serve as co-host of the 82nd Academy Awards.

* Anthony Hopkins has been cast as the Norse God Odin in Marvel Studios Thor. The film is to be directed by Kenneth Branagh (Frankenstein). Also starring Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek) and Tom Hiddleston . Natalie Portman is playing Thor's love interest Jane Foster. Filming starts in January 2010, for release on May 20, 2011.

* Columbia Pictures has hired Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen to pen the script for Men in Black 3. So far no deals have been made with franchise director, Barry Sonnenfield, and stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return. Studio looking to start filming in 2010, maybe as early as the spring. I don't know why they didn't make a sequel years ago with the $1.1 billion made by first two.

* ABC has a huge hit on their hands with the remake of the 1983 TV miniseries V. The remake brought in 13.9 million viewers for the pilot. This means that V is the biggest show to premiere at 8p.m. since Lost premiered. This is not including the DVR views of the show.

* Michael Jackson's Documentary This is It came in 1st at box office with $21 million. This is a little under the estimates but still very good.
