Deadline is reporting that Director Robert Zemeckis is attached to direct a sci-fi film called Timeless.
Details on the project are nowhere in site, but it's said to be a time travel film idea pitched from Warner Bros. and Zemeckis is confirmed as director.
Timeless will mark the directors first time doing a live-action film since Cast Away back in 2000. Zemeckis has been very interested in his little hobby of doing performance capture animated films since then with films including: The Polar Express (2004), Beowulf (2007), A Christmas Carol (2009) and the upcoming The Yellow Submarine (2012).
The news just seems so right because it has the person who created and directed the time-travel film series Back To The Future way back in 1985. You just can't find a better director for this project.
Timeless has no release date for now but I can't wait for it.
