Cool Expendables 2 Character Posters

Finally some more stuff for The Expendables 2! This movie is supposed to be living up to be the most kick ass action film of 80s stars dreams with adding action favorites Chuck Norris and Van Damme. So for now we will just have settle for some cool character posters that show off the cast (with most wearing hats likely due to balding, it happens after you past your prime…by 40 years…).

Fringe Gets Final Season Renewal!!!

FOX has finally given in to the huge fan outcry for a 5th and final season of the cult hit "Fringe"! The show has been in turmoil for a few seasons being it started costing more to make the show than it was making for the network, but yet it has a very loyal and stubborn fan base. They went so far as even having a twitter campaign to renewal it for 5th season. That is dedication. I would have just wrote an email if they are lucky enough for that and I love the show! *not most outgoing fan but still* 

Having the next season at 13 episodes we will for sure get a series wrap-up and hopefully a fulfilling series finally. (I hate shows that end with a cliffhanger and we never find out what the hell happened to woody and Bullseye…wait never mind) 

The press release: 

"Fringe is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television's most imaginative dramas. Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve," said Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly. "The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it's going to be a very exciting final chapter."

Also, if the series would have ended they had plans for a comic-book series continuation much in same manner as Buffy. That sounds awesome too.

The Vow Review

"The Vow is one of the best romance movies released in recent years with great cast and uplifting story."

The Vow is about a couple Leo (Channing Tatum) and Paige (Rachel McAdams) that are madly in love and are in a terrible car accident. Leo makes it out fine but she ended up with a bad head injury and she lost all recent memories from within the last 4 years including Leo and her marriage. Leo sets out to help her see the love they share and never gives up on getting her back.

I will admit I am a sucker for a lot of romance movies from all different backgrounds like Titanic, While You Were Sleeping, and The Notebook. So naturally I wouldn't mind seeing The Vow with my amazing girlfriend and get major boyfriend points. I've heard a lot about the movie from friends that all say it will make you cry and its so adorable. So we had to find out what all the fuss is about and i will say we were kind of shocked we didn't cry like everyone said we would. Sure it was sad, but the story has more of uplifting side to bad thing that happened and it's really quite nice to see that instead of a movie that just does sad things to get tears from the audience. The Vow has heart in it.

The casting of Rachel McAdams as Paige is every girls dream because of her previous romance film role in The Notebook (I know she is my girlfriends favorite actress because of it). She is the best woman for the job by a long shot. She brings a certain lovable quality to Paige that makes you really like her and can see her love for Leo and frightfulness when she is brought into an environment she isn't familiar with anymore. Although, there are sometimes in the film that you just want to tell her she is doing something wrong and yell "just remember already, Leo needs you!".

Leo is played by Channing Tatum to some of the girls liking from back in Dear John. I'm not the biggest fan of Channing because he isn't the greatest actor around but if he's hot and has a six pack then he's perfect for a romance movie. He has really proven himself in this film as an actor. He still has some learning to do but you still feel all the emotions he feels in the film along with him. He is a man of great heart and will never give up on his wife because of true love and his vows.

The title "The Vow" is pretty great considering that in his vow for her is really just foreshadowing events that will happen later. He said "I vow to love you, and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other." Now, that is pretty eerie and dead on. He really did keep trying like crazy going from embarrassing himself to ruining his career. It's crazy to imagine that this could happen. Leo is every girls dream guy that will never give up on the girl he loves. I really do believe it would be hard but when you just love a girl to death than I would do whatever it took to get her back because she is my home and always will be.

The Vow isn't the best romance film ever made but by far isn't the worst. It is very charming and great story about love and the search to find it again. If I would've cried it would for sure would be getting an A but I must give it a

B+

Top 10 Movie Coaches Of All-Time

Movie coaches are something that we see in every sports film ever made. Sometimes the movie revolves around a actual real life coach and what he has accomplished in their life. Others have fictional coaches that are there to prove a point and get the message out to the viewers. The coaches aren't always nice and supportive either, they can be very harsh to the team to where it's almost abuse. Even with that they will teach the players real lessons for the game and life. I will say there is some pretty horrible coaches out there at don't know a thing about coaching anything except abusing. Here are the best coaches in sports movies.

Norman Dale (Gene Hackman) - Hoosiers (1986)

Coach Dale is played by the very talented Gene Hackman and this is considered one of his best movies. He plays the coach of a small (very small) Indiana high school basketball team on early 50s. He is an abusive coach and even once struck a student. The team ended up loving him after they settled differences and won a championship. 

Quote from film "And David put his hand in the bag and took out a stone and slung it. And it struck the Philistine on the head and he fell to the ground. Amen."

Harold Jones (Ed Harris) - Radio (2003)

Coach Jones is one of the most harsh looking coaches that is actually one of the nicest people in the world. He took in the local student radio (Cuba Gooding Jr.) that was handicapped and harassed by the football team to be an assistant helper. He taught the team to love and respect others no matter how different they are and he allowed the town to open their eyes. 

Quote "It's never a mistake to care for someone. That's always a good thing!"

Don Haskins (Josh Lucas) - Glory Road (2006)

Coach Haskins was a great coach that realized talent and creating a team has nothing to do about color or background. He took a bunch of kids around the country that had raw talent and turned them into a college level team that could be amazing and accomplished it.

Ted Orion (Jeff Nordling) - D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996)

The coach that replaced one of the greatest coaches in movies is actually a really amazing coach. He is the teams newest coach that they dislike because he has rules and doesn't take crap. We soon find out he is actually a very caring man that wants these kids to win and be great. He gives a defense speech that is quite true about hockey and life. Best replacement coach in a film series. 

Quote “It's very, very difficult to keep that confidence when you gotta take whatever strange bounces life throws your way. Don't be careless, but don't be too careful either. You cannot be afraid to lose!”

Jack Lengyel (Matthew McConaughey) - We Are Marshall 

He is one of the weirdest coaches but he is by far one of the most caring coaches you'll ever see. He took a town that just went through tragedy and turned them around into being alive again just by making a team great. Lengyel will go down in history at Marshall for his amazing contributions. They are Marshall. 

Quote "It doesn't matter if we win or if we lose. It's not even about how we play the game. What matters is that we play the game."

Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) - The Mighty Ducks (1992) 

Coach Bombay was my favorite coach when I was little because he coached the ducks! Also, he started out not caring and was lost but he found love and a purpose when he started coaching a small team of ragtag kids in hockey. The movie is hilarious and has serious moments all around but we see an evolution of Coach Bombay that is great inspiration to anybody. Just don't think driving drunk will help you achieve this.

Gary Gaines (Billy Bob Thornton) - Friday Night Lights (2004)

Coach Gaines was perfectly cast with Thornton because he can be a giant ass and a person to look up to at all times. He took a small town team and turned them into a team that made it the playoff finals. It gave everyone great signs of dedication and hope.

Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didnt let them down because you told them the truth. And that truth is you did everything you could. Ken Carter (Samuel L. Jackson) - Coach Carter (2005) 

Samuel Jackson was the absolute only choice to be the extremist Coach Carter. He isn't like most coaches that only want to win, he genuinely cares about the kids. He even makes them all sign contracts to play and do better in school. While at same time he is teaching them to respect each other and others because he was disgusted with what he saw. Carter eventually took it to have a lock-out from the gym. Great coach all around with the game and lives of players by going from boys to men. 

Quote "These are student-athletes...Student comes first."

Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) Remember The Titans (2000)

This film has gone down in history as one of the greatest sports movies of all time and with good reason. It has an amazing cast and amazing story. Boone came in and was the bad guy from the start. He made them cry and throw up but he achieved the impossible and made a racially mixed team become one in rough times and succeed and show the world they could. 

Quote "I'm not gonna talk to you tonight about winnin' and losin'. You're already winners 'cause you didn't kill each other up at camp."

Herb Brooks (Kurt Russell) - Miracle (2004)

This is my all time favorite sports movie of all time. Russell does the most amazing job as Coach Brooks. The story of the 1980 olympic hockey team is one of the most well-known stories of triumph in sports. The US team beat the USSR!! unbelievable they beat the "unbeatable" team. Brooks coached harder than anyone ever before and he help guide an okay team into a great team. He will go down in history as one of the all-time best coaches.

New The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer!!

At midnight last night the new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man was released online! All I have to say is this will kick old Spider-Man's ass because of its pure awesomeness. Andrew Garfield takes the reigns of Spider-Man and he looks to do an amazing job. The cast is amazing and the way film looks down to the new uniform is flawless.

Even though Spider-Man is one of the biggest comic book characters of all-time, this summer he will be the underdog. I know that sounds weird but with the final chapter of Batman coming and the ultimate geek film in The Avengers coming, there is just a little room left for this reboot gem. The only thing I know for sure is I will be taking my amazing girlfriend to this movie and all the rest. I just know she will enjoy every second of them (multiple times).

4 Images From Dredd!!

Dredd (short for Judge Dredd) isn't going to like the original film at all hopefully. This film just looks badass from these images and I will say Karl Urban is absolutely perfect for Judge Dredd. Great jawline and mouth. That wasn't creepy one bit. The greatest news I heard about the film is Dredd will not remove his mask or kiss is co-star. Sweet!! This will be the real Judge Dredd. That the Judge Judy version of the original.

The Lucky One Trailer and Poster

I know this post might be a little late for some of you Sparks loving fanatics but I promised my amazing girlfriend I would do a post on The Lucky One. This is for you Megan :) Nicholas Sparks is better known for books such as The Notebook (my girlfriends favorite movie), The Last Song, Dear John, and A Walk to Remember. So basically every girls wet dream movies and maybe a few guys out there. I mean they are no Titanic tho. Perfect Soundtrack film with The Notebook by the way wink wink

U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) returns to North Carolina from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive-a photograph he found of a woman he doesn't even know. Learning her name is Beth (Taylor Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

Matthew Vaughn is returning for X-Men Sequel!!

After A very long debate whether we would end up getting a new director for the sequel to X-Men: First Class because Vaughn wasn't contracted for another film. All of the cast was, so be rest assured they will be back. Earlier it was announced that Vaughn has reached a deal with 20th Century Fox to return to directed the sequel with a script being written by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class). So the original team is back even down to Bryan Singer producing again. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for the X-Men and who will they introduce.

Step Up 4 Teaser Trailer

So I don't know about you but I'm a avid fan of the Step Up series, don't get me wrong the plot is just horrible on them all but the dance sequences are amazing. Step 3D was actually a pretty awesome movie visually. So now we got Step Up 4 not 4D (thank god because we don't want sweat in our faces) coming this summer. The plot is probably bad but the backdrop of Miami and we will get flash mobs people! flash mobs! dancing to the extreme right there.

Special Edition 3D Glasses for The Avengers

So you are willing to pay so much more for 3D movies and now you will get an even better chance to spend your hard earned money on 3D movies! How you say! Easy just pay extra 5 bucks (3D ticket price excluded)!! seriously though these glasses are pretty cool with Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, and Thor. (My favorite are Captn and Iron Man). Participating theaters will sell them and you will be able to use them in future 3D movies too.
