SDCC: Brad Pitt starring in World War Z

MTV is reporting that World War Z author Max Brooks announced at Comic-Con that mega-star Brad Pitt will be cast as lead role and Paramount Pictures is releasing. That really isn't that odd because Pitt's movie company Plan B bought the rights for the book back in 2007.

World War Z will be directed by Marc Forster and starring Brad Pitt, so far that is all the news on casting.

The film is set for a Summer 2012 release and Paramount optioned the film rights to Brook's other zombie books The Zombie Survival Guide and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks.
