First Look At Dead Space 2

This Rorschach looking test is our first look at Dead Space 2 which was posted on Twitter yesterday. The game is expected to have an appearance at the Spike TV VGA awards on December 12th. A reader on Kotaku posted this funny comment to say:
Rorschach's Journal. October 12th, 2010: Necromorph carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This space station is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The hallways are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and scientists will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "no."

Trailer of the Week-Brooklyn's Finest
This weeks Trailer of the Week is the action/drama film Brooklyn's Finest. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day). Starring Richard Gere (Pretty Woman), Don Cheadle (Traitor), Ethan Hawke (Fast Food Nation), and Wesley Snipes (Blade).
Burned out veteran Eddie Dugan (Gere) is just one week away from his pension and a fishing cabin in Connecticut. Narcotics officer Sal Procida (Hawke) has discovered there’s no line he won’t cross to provide a better life for his long-suffering wife and seven children. And Clarence “Tango” Butler (Cheadle) has been undercover so long his loyalties have started to shift from his fellow police officers to his prison buddy Caz (Snipes), one of Brooklyn’s most infamous drug dealers. With personal and work pressures bearing down on them, each man faces daily tests of judgment and honor in one of the world’s most difficult jobs. When NYPD’s Operation Clean Up targets the notoriously drug-ridden BK housing project, all three officers find themselves swept away by the violence and corruption of Brooklyn’s gritty 65th Precinct and its most treacherous criminals. During seven fateful days, Eddie, Sal and Tango find themselves hurtling inextricably toward the same fatal crime scene and a shattering collision with destiny. The film captures the volatile and deadly world of one of New York’s most dangerous precincts through the eyes of the men and women pledged to protect and serve, as they face the wrenching choices that make them Brooklyn’s Finest.

New Medal Of Honor
EA has just announced the reinvention of the their classic franchise Medal Of Honor. This latest installment is to be in the modern ages and set in Afghanistan. It is said to be "the most authentic modern war experience" to be in a game. The game is being developed at EA Los Angeles and DICE, who is responsible for Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2. The bearded, box-art soldier is a Tier 1 Operator, "a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle," according to EA. They also said that it will let gamers "step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan."Medal of Honor is going to debut at the Spike TV VGA on December 12th. It is set to be released for Plastation 3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime in fall 2010.

Daily Movie News
It's Tuesday time for Daily Movie News.
* Director Paul Greengrass (Bourne 2 and 3) has opted out of Bourne 4, which has already been in development hell. The most likely reason is that Universal has hired two writers to pen a script. George Nolfi who co-wrote Bourne 3 and working with Damon on another film. The second writer was hired without the directors consent. That writer is Josh Zetumer, who is a studio favorite and on the "Blacklist" of writers they use alot. Due to Greengrass's friendship with the star, he may return at a later date.
* Modern Warfare 2 director Keith Arem will make his feature directorial debut on the action/thriller Frost Road. The film centers on a young man who awakens from a car accident to discover he one of the few survivors in the aftermath of a mysterious outbreak that struck a small coast town on the East Coast. Somehow immune to the contagion, he tries to save the remaining survivors as he struggles to prevent the deadly wave from spreading across the planet. Arem also wrote the script.
* Director Todd Phillips (The Hangover) says that The Hangover 2 script is half done. He is keeping the plot under wraps for now, and promises that it won't rehash the events in the first film. Also, he said its not the Las Vegas setting that was funny, but the 3 main characters.
* Summit Entertainment has acquired Ben Magid's spec script Invasion. The film opens with a wicked subway accident in which the survivors (protagonists) climb from the wreckage to find, now "snowy", city in ruins. What they encounter topside is bodies, mobs of people in a state of panic and acidic "goo". Eli Roth and Eric Newman will help steer the project.
* Actor Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) is rumored to star as Hawkeye in Marvel's highly anticipated adaptation The Avengers. No director is attached at the moment. The film is targeted for a may 4th, 2012 release.
* Actor Ryan Reynolds (X-Men Origins) said that the Green Lantern film he is attached to star isn't a labored Origin film that picks up in third act and some of the best parts don't have him in costume. Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) is directing for 2011 release.
