The Amazing Spider-Man Pic and Release Date

Columbia Pictures released this awesome image of Andrew Garfield in full Spider-Man costume. We will just guess it's him under there. Also, they announced that the official title will be The Amazing Spider-Man.

The photo gives a fantastic view of Spider-Man in his full suit. The mask is exceptionally awesome to say the least. The eye spots due seem to have an odd golden tint to it, but it still looks very cool. The costume is unbelievably cooler than the old one.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3rd, 2012

Here is the awesome new image of Spider-Man in full costume

Fletch Reboot Happening. Again.

It looks like Warner Bros. Pictures has bought the rights to make another Fletch movie. I have very little hope in the making of this movie because of all the previous attempts over the years. Many have tried making sequels, reboots, re-imaginings to Fletch and Fletch Lives, which stars Chevy Chase, but nothing has come about of those failures.

Heat Vision says: No writer or director is board, but Warners and the producers are aiming for a reimagining, not a remake, and hope to make an smart action comedy that plays out on a bigger canvas than the previous movies.

So we will wait to see if anything happens in the future.

Daily Movie News

Wednesday February 10th, 2010

  • Writer David S. Goyer and Jonah Nolan announced that they are currently writing the next Batman movie in the Christopher Nolan series. No news on villains, plot details, or anything.

  • Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens has finally settled on a release date of July 29, 2011. The announcement came after Universal moved Peter Berg's Battleship from that date to May 25, 2011. The only other film set to be released on July 29th is Sony's The Smurfs

  • Another change in the release date for Priest. This time it has been pushed back to January 14, 2011 for a release in 3D. This movie just cannot keep a date set and now it's in 3D (WOW).

  • Fox is developing a reboot for the Daredevil franchise to keep the rights to the property. Screenwriter David Scarpa (The Day the Earth Stood Still) is rumored to be writing it. So, maybe it will be better then the Ben Affleck movie, even though it's not a bad film.

  • Director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight) is rumored to be helping with the production of the next Superman film is some way. He probably won't direct it, but he may help with character development, casting, and production. Who cares what he helps with because it's effing Chris Nolan.

  • Animated film company Imagi International has gone bankrupt and their film in production CG-film Gatchaman is safe for now. The anticipated film is being outsourced to mainland China to get finished. So you fans can breath again.

  • Twilight star Taylor lautner will star in Stretch Armstrong. Stretch is based on the hit 70's toy from Hasbro that was relaunched in the 90's and is getting a feature-film treatment from Academy Award winning producer Brian Grazer and Steve Oedekerk has written a screenplay for it. I just don't know how a skinny kid will play a hulking beast of a man. I just don't see it.

More news later and maybe a name change. I just don't have time to do "Daily Movie News", so maybe Just "Movie News".

It's Official! Director Marc Webb Helming Spider-Man Reboot

Director Marc Webb will be directing the surprise reboot of the Spider-Man franchise. Webb has previously directed numerous music videos for a variety of stars over the years. Also, his first feature film (500) Days of Summer was released in 2009 to positive reviews.

Webb will work closely with producers Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin on the project through Pre-production. Based on a script by James Vanderbilt, and production will start later this year. Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee said "I am excited that Sony has chosen a director with real penchant and understanding for the character. This is a brave, bold direction for the franchise, and I can't wait to see what marc comes up with next." So, if Stan Lee likes him, I guess I'll give him a chance.

Report show that they will make it on a budget of $80 million and cast relatively unknowns. Also, the series will not use the origin stories from the 60's; which, the Raimi directed films used, but rather use the Ultimate Spider-Man take to the film. This is just speculation are not proven.
