Nick Fury's SideKick Actresses Shortlist

Samuel L. Jackson confirmed last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that he will be Nick Fury in Thor and Captain America. That was not surprising at all.

The interesting news came when he told Jimmy he will be screen testing with numerous actresses on Friday for his sidekick. That was really interesting. Heat Vision reported this morning the shortlist of actresses that will screen test friday for a unspecified role as Nick Fury's sidekick. 

The role is rumored to be Janet Van Dyne/The Wasp and the actresses will get a nine picture deal, like Jackson. 

The list includes Mary Elizabeth Windstead, Cobie Smulders, Morena Baccarin, and Jessica Lucas. My vote goes to Mary Windstead because if the role is for Wasp, she will be the perfect actresses for the role.

 Hopefully they will announced who got the part in the near future.

SDCC: Helmets From Thor Unveiled at Comic-Con

Marvel unveiled the helmets of Thor, Odin, and Loki at the Marvel Booth at Comic-Con. They have been at the booth the whole time,  but finally took the sheet of the case today.

The helmets are the actual ones wore by Chris Hemsworth, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston during the filming of Thor.

SDCC: Joss Whedon Confirms He is Directing The Avengers!!

Joss Whedon just confirmed at Comic-Con that he is directing The Avengers! This isn't really a shock, but it is nice to know it is official. 


“It’s not an official thing, I think because Marvel couldn’t afford a press release,” Whedon said. “So can we make that an official thing? I’m directing ‘The Avengers’.”


When Asked about the development on the film so far he said “I am still writing an outline. I’m still in that stage. I will say the thing I love about it, the thing that made me excited to do it, is how counter intuitive it is. These people shouldn’t be in the same room -- and that is the very definition of family.”


Paramount Pictures will distribute the Marvel Studios produced film on May 4, 2012.

Faster Teaser Trailer

Yahoo Movies just released the first trailer for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new action/revenge film Faster. It is directed by George Tillman, Jr (Notorious) and starring Dwayne Johnson (The Rundown), Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) and Billy Bob Thornton (Eagle Eye).

The movie looks really cool, even if it is a teaser trailer it is nice to see The Rock doing action again. I am tired of his family disney movies.

The plot is simple enough to sum up in one sentence "An ex-convict avenges his brother's death after they were double-crossed during a heist."

Faster hits theaters on November 19, 2010.
