Time for Daily Movie News
* Writer Peter Iliff (Point Break) is penning a big-screen adaptation of the t.v. show "American Gladiators". The show first aired in 1988 and broadcast across 90 countries and remade for a 2008 revival. The plot will revolve around characters from original not revival. Targeted for a 2011 release.
* The directing god Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park) and writing god Steven King (Maximum Overdrive) are teaming up to develop a limited series on King's just released supernatural-thriller book "Under The Dome". Dreamworks TV optioned the book and looking to set it up as an event series, most likely for cable. Dreamworks TV is currently starting to meet with writers for the project.
* CEO of Paradox Entertainment Fredrik Malmberg recently told Fantasy.fr that there is a new "Krull" film is in production. More news to come on the subject on near future.
* Director Michael Bay (Transformers) is not killing of Megan Fox's character in Transformers 3. He said that she has a great part and she gets enough of that already. This whole conflict was caused by Fox calling Bay "Hitler".
* Writer John Hlavin (The Shield) is writing the script for the next vampire/werewolf film Underworld 4. He would not indulge in the plot, but said its not a prequel. There is no director attached. No returning or new characters have been cast yet.
* Super hot model Tanit Phoenix has been cast leading lady in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst. She will play Gwen Liebling, a vampire romance novelist who calls upon Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman) to rescue her son from a vampire named DJ Dusk. Shooting has begun in South Africa. Directed by Dario Piana and written by Evan Charnov.
