The news that Robert Downey Jr. was leaving the Jon Favreau-directed movie
Cowboys & Aliens made the studio not waste anytime on casting because Bond himself, Daniel Craig is stepping in Downey's place. The news isn't official yet, but he is in talks with the studios to star. Craig is probably the best replacement for Downey, but will he have a connection with Favreau, who is good friends with Downey. Only time will tell.
