DC Unveils "Justice League 3000" + Concept Art

DC Comics recently canceled the beloved series The Legion of Super-Heroes, and that left a void for future set heroes. So they are going to basically take us back to the 31st Century in a new ongoing series titled "Justice League 3000". Yes, DC is milking it's Justice League title with a more than few series out there titled it. Although this series is a little different because being set in 31st Century, the current team isn't alive.

The team will consist of a Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, and of course The Flash. These characters themselves have not been announced who will be portraying them, but expect maybe a Legion member here or there. You never know.

The best part, we will be seeing some familiar faces (names) returning to Justice League. Writer duo, Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis, and artist Kevin Maguire are teaming up again for this. You might remember them for their funny series Justice League International. This will be a very interesting take on the 31st century.

Howard Porter designed the new fresh costumes of the main 5 members. They look pretty spiffy and different. Did The Flash and Chamber have a child? OMG they gave Wonder Woman Pants? Crazy!

Check out the CBR exclusive designs of Batman, The Flash, Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman.

Full Cast of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox Announced + New Image!

DC Animated Films have always been very fan orientated when it comes to getting the best animation style closets to the source material. Also, they have been stellar with voice acting with bringing back fan favorites and great new talent. Check out this full cast and you will see some perfect casting with some new people showing up in roles.

TV Guide announced the full cast of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox earlier. The full cast includes fan favorites Kevin Conroy as Batman, Dana Delany as Lois Lane, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Ron Perlman as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. That gave me a nerdgasm. Also, joining the cast are Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd as The Flash and Batman (Thomas Wayne version). Cyborg will be voiced by Michael B. Jordan (not the b-ball player mind you that) than the cool Cary Elwes as Aquaman, Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman, and Sam Daly as Superman. Wow thats a huge all-star cast! I can't wait for his!

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox hits video on July 30th

Rumor: Warner Bros. Wants Sons of Anarchy Star Charlie Hunnam as The Flash in Justice League Film

Warner Bros. has rumors just like Marvel. Theres are just a little more out there at the moment. Rumors are spreading that WB is already banking on Man of Steel being a hit and are doing some rough stuff with the Justice League movie like sketches and such. Well some of those sketches of the flash are reportedly looking pretty darn similar to up and coming Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim actor Charlie Hunnam. Crazy I know.

The rumors have been spreading and it is likely that the artist doing the sketches is a huge fan of Jax Teller or is WB looking at the actor to take the fastest man alive mantle too. Only time will tell, but keep an eye out on this one in future.

Justice League Film Depends on Man of Steel Box Office

Well, this news really isn't surprising at all. Variety did a very long article on Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov and talked about the franchises they have with Hangover, Hobbit, yada yadada yada, ahh here is the part, they state that the life of Justice League film is depending on how well Man of Steel does with everyone and makes a pretty penny. Variety States

Further out, the studio's planning a "Justice League" tentpole -- encompassing DC Comics mainstays Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and the Green Lantern -- on the order of Marvel's "The Avengers." Will Beall is scripting but no director has been attached yet.

Stakes are high for "Man of Steel." Other than Nolan's Batpics, Warners has not been able to effectively exploit the DC library. Its 2011 "Green Lantern" underperformed, and a "Justice League" film wouldn't likely be in theaters before 2015, as Warner's top brass has indicated that they are awaiting the results of "Man of Steel," which opens June 14, before moving further ahead.
There you have it. Nothing really different than people talking business. They just really need to have a better approach at casting, picking directors, and getting the films all together in same universe. Green Lantern failed at pretty much all those, but Man of Steel is shaping up to be rather good looking. Just have to wait and see if we get to the team gear up together.

Warner Bros. Want Justice League Film for 2015!

I have already said this news a few months ago when it was rumored Ben Affleck was directing the film. Well, after the big win of WB over the Superman creators family just the other day, we will get a Justice League film for sure.

LA Times said the studio wants to "accelerate development" of the film and get it into production and finished by next year (holy sh$% batman! that is not very much time). I mean they don't even have a director or producers hired yet! Maybe they meant film from 2013-2014 for release in 2015. More reasonable I would say. Also, rumors say the film would have Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern (with maybe more). I'm rooting for Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter.

This is still odd approach by WB not following in Marvel's steps of single films before the big united film and squaring off against The Avengers 2. WB plans to release Justice League first with rebooting Batman and hopefully Green Lantern in it and going into single films after. Maybe it will work ehhhh.

More to Come!

Gamescom: Injustice: Gods Among Us Trailer

A brand-new trailer from Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertaiment's new "Mortal Kombat" fighting style game Injustice: Gods Among Us gets a brand-new Catwoman themed trailer today. I have to say the game looks really good better than DC Vs. Mortal Kombat.

The game is made by NetherRealm, who make the Mortal Kombat games. So expect some awesomeness. The cast of characters include Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy and many others. This is epic.

Here is the trailer

Ben Affleck Directing and Starring in Justice League Film?

I know you are likely scratching your head after reading that the guy from Gigli or Mall Rats is in the eyes of Warner Bros. to direct the highly anticipated superhero film Justice League! Well, it isn't that far fetched with Affleck becoming a very serious director in recent years with some critically popular films Gone Baby Gone and The Town. He has become one of hollywoods most sought after directors and he does come with a plus (or minus), he will only direct movies he stars in also to some capacity. So expect him to suit up likely.

Affleck, at the moment, is the only person the Will Beall (Gangster Squad) written Justice League script was sent to. This is a big move on Warner Bros. to show such hope that he will accept. The script was completed last summer but has been saved until they decided on who to offer the film to and it will bring DC Comics biggest heroes together including Batman, Superman, Green lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. That is going to be one epic hero film that will rival The Avengers in all aspects. The craziest part is they are eying a possible Summer 2015 release date!!

I think this could be a mistake since we don't have any Marvel set-up with single films before hand. It could be smart for Warner Bros. to decide to have 2 films each year starting with Superman next year and have a film by 2018. Gives more time to tie the worlds together and give characters origins (excluding Superman and Batman). America needs some Flash and Wonder Woman introduction.

The only hold-up that could effect Ben from taking the job is the commitment. He is a high demand director and actor at the moment and if he took the job, it would put him unavailable as director the next couple of years. He still would be able to act in other films, likely, but limited number of time away from film.

The coolest part about it maybe coming in 2015 is it will square off agaist Joss Whedon's The Avengers 2. This could end up becoming the biggest battle ever at box office and nerds will rejoice everywhere.

Affleck is supposed to meet with Warner Bros. later this week to talk about it and maybe soon we get a decision on what he shall chose. I'm all for it!!!
