Spider-Man 4 Storyboards + Venom Art Hit the Web!

What if Spider-Man 4 was made and released instead of the reboot The Amazing Spider-Man? We may never know, but that is a perfect example of what we wonder how Spidey would have turned out differently. So all those people saying "There was going to be a Spider-Man 4?!", yes there was, and it was hyped to fix all the wrong number 3 did to the character and series.

The film was rushed into production with casting of John Malkovich as Vulture and Anne Hathaway as Black Cat. (just imagine those casting choices and ponder, would she take the role of Catwoman, which she made perfect?) So Many questions!!!!

Storyboardist *is that a word? hmmm* Well, storyboard artist *lets go with that one*  Jefrey Henderson has worked with director Sam Raimi on the film and did the storyboards for it before Sony pulled the web down on the film. He decided now was a good time to share some of them with the fans, but not many because he is afraid Sam will hunt him down for showing them. So he posted these which he felt comfortable enough to do for us. Check them out below with a cool drawing of Venom he did for Spider-Man 3 and a sweet spidey suit!

NYCC: Bootlegged Evil Dead Trailer!

This past weekend I did a post on the Evil Dead Panel at NYCC and showed the official image from the film. Well…now the "Unoffical" bootlegged trailer that was shown at the panel is online! So watch it quick before its gone in the depths of the unknown of internet.

The trailer is very awesome and amazing looking (besides the quality of the film, I mean if your going to illegally steal footage you better record in good quality I mean come on dude..).

NYCC: First Official Pic from Evil Dead Remake

The Evil Dead crew were at New York Comic-Con this weekend showing off the new reboot/remake and a lot of good things were said about it. They revealed a sweet creepy image of Henriette peering out of the basement hatch of the infamous cabin.

Also, the attendees were shown a special red band trailer of the remake that gave off a very familiar feel and updated feel at same time. They famous scenes with a possessed hand, raping tree, and the all famous chainsaw were included and given great applause. Pretty sweet sounding!

SDCC: Sam Raimi Attached to Earp: Saints and Sinners

Heat Vision is reporting that Acclaimed Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead) is attached to direct the film adaptation of the newly released comic-book mini-series Earp: Saints and Sinners.

 The "comic" is a new futuristic retelling of the showdown at the O.K. Corral. The site for the comic goes into more detail.

 After losing his brother, Virgil, during the arrest of outlaw Jesse James, Earp is ready for a major lifestyle change. Craving simplicity and wanting to protect his younger brother, Morgan, from the same fate as Virgil, Wyatt looks west. Leaving New York and his Marshal badge behind, he settles in Las Vegas to run an upscale saloon with his best friend and ex-partner, Doc Holliday. The city presents new opportunities and faces, but it isn’t long before old enemies and scars return, as well. Once again, he must enforce the law and bring justice to criminal entrepreneur Edward Flynn, Flynn’s personal army “the Pinkertons,” and Jesse James’ own “James Gang.” On top of this, the complicated love triangle between talented starlet, Josephine Marcus, and sworn enemies, Wyatt Earp and Jesse James, also wreaks havoc on Earp’s life.

DreamWorks has bought the Radical Studios comic with plans plan to have Sam Raimi direct and have Matt Cirulnick write the script.

There is also a Comic-Con panel for Radical Publishing Creator's on Thursday. So maybe we will get some more news on the subject then.

Let the Comic-Con news start rolling. This week will be a busy one for us.

Its Friday Time for your Daily Movie News

 First it has been a few days since our last post. We have been busy with school, sickness and laziness.

* Will Ferrell (Step Brothers, Talladega Nights) is set to star in an Independent film "Every Thing Must Go". The plot is about a man (Ferrell) who loses his job and gets locked out of his house by his wife. She puts all his belongings on the front lawn, and he spends the next four days trying to sell them. This will be directorial debut of director Dan Rush and he also wrote the script.

* Director Sam Raimi has acknowledged the faults in Spider-Man 3. He will not mess up Spider-Man 4 with those faults and go back to the basics as they were in the first and second films.

* Warner Bros. Pictures have Officially pulled the production of the Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds from Australia. It is rumored that production will move to either Mexico or Canada. It is scheduled for release on June 17, 2011.

* Director Wes Craven tweeted "I had dinner with KW (Kevin Williams) last night, and the script sounds fantastic!". Craven is talking about the script for "Scream 4" which will start a new trilogy. Current stars signed on to return are Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox Arquette. Craven has said he hasn't signed on but with a good script he would most likely do it.

* Universal Pictures' has cast Chris Messina to star in "Devil" a horror-thriller based on an M. Night  Shyamalan story to be directed by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle. Messina will play the lead role of Bowden, a sobered-up homicide detective. That is the only plot details released at the time. Filming should begin on October 26 in Toronto.

Its Tuesday time for Daily Movie News

* Director D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) and Chris Pine (Star Trek) are targeted by Paramount Pictures to make "The Art of Making Money" next year. Pine would play Art Williams, the alias for a Chicago man who rose from petty thief to master counterfeiter. Based on the book by same title.

* J.J. Abrams' Company Bad Robot and Paramount will team up on a untitled movie by screenwriters Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand). J.J. will not reveal the plot but said the pitch got them Salivating. So, it sounds like one to keep an eye on.

* Director Roland Emmerich (Indepedence Day, Stargate) has said he would like to make a sequel to ID4 with Will Smith. There is a script turned into FOX but FOX has it in limbo. Also, Roland said he would like to make Stargate into a trilogy as he had envisioned.

* Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man 1,2,3) has said he likes The Lizard as a villian but hasn't said about him being in Spider-Man 4. He also said he isn't really familiar with the character Carnage. So it looks like The Lizard is the most likely villian for Spider-Man 4.

* Director Brian Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns) has said he wants to get back into the X-Men franchise. He has been talking with FOX about doing it.
