Comic-Con: New Predator Project Being Announced?

This is doesn't happen very often, A Facebook page for a movie that came out 3 years ago post an image that raises questions. Well, it has happened now. 20th Century Fox's 2010 film Predators updated a new image that is mysterious and makes us wonder.

"There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man... We're all gonna die." Thats all the image says but the background is a above city view of San Diego. Timing is way to good for it not to be related to San Diego Comic-Con.

A new movie?, Game?, tv series?, anime?, who knows?

Also, 20th Century Fox does have a panel that features Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Wolverine, and a "surprise". Hmm wonder what that could be?

Promo Posters for Sin City 2 and Machete Kills

Today is a huge day for those mega-fans of Sin City and Machete or Robert Rodriguez because we get our first look at the promo posters for both sequels Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Machete Kills. They both give some information that we loved hearing.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be heading into production later this year with Mickey Rouke returning as Marv, Rosario Dawson, and many more are rumored to return but we will find out in coming weeks for sure. The best part of the poster is it shows that Frank Miller will return to co-direct with Robert Rodriguez. That is amazing in every way. I am so excited for this film to finally be made. More details on film in near future as info becomes more open about plot and casting.

Machete Kills is the sequel to the cult hit Machete (based on the short trailer). That can be confusing to some people, just know this is a sequel to a pretty raunchy action flick that was alright but awesome premise. This will see the return of Danny Trejo as Machete, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and introducing Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, and the legendary Mel Gibson to the series. I can't wait for this film to get the return of Mel Gibson to action and movies in general. Hopefully he doesn't get kicked off set like with Hangover 2. But anyways it starts filming this month.

Trailer of the Week - Hobo With A Shotgun

There really wasn't many trailers worthy of posting this week, but this just showed up in my inbox the other day. I remember seeing the faux trailer back in 07 and thought it would be a funny grindhouse film. Then the news came they were making a feature-length version with the awesome Rutger Hauer (The Hitcher) and I got really excited. It really looks like a nice throwback to old Troma and grindhouse films from way back then. 

The plot is as simple as this: A homeless vigilante blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun.

Hobo With A Shotgun will be released sometime in 2011

SDCC: 7 Minutes of Machete from Comic-Con

Somebody recorded the 7 minutes of footage that Robert Rodriguez showed at Comic-Con last week. The footage isn't the best, but not horrible either. I personally can't wait to see this movie because I am a huge fan of Robert Rodriguez.

 Machete (Danny Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Jeff Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) his "holy" brother, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Jessica Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.

Machete cuts into theaters on September 3, 2010.

SDCC: First look at Machete at Comic-Con

Fans will finally get to some new footage of Machete Thursday from 5p.m. - 8p.m. at 5 star parking lot on the corner of 5th Avenue and J street. So bring the flyer and you will get free tacos and maybe if your over 21, get into an after party with the cast. How cool would it be to see Danny Trejo breaking it down with Michelle Rodriguez. Too bad Lindsey Lohan won't be able to make it. That's a little mean.

I meant to post this on Friday last week but I got sidetracked. So, here is Trailer of the Week Predators. 

From producer Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi Trilogy, From Dusk Till Dawn) and Director Nimrod Antal (Vacancy, Armored) and starring Lawrence Fishburne (The Matrix), Adrien Brody (King Kong), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3), Danny Trejo (Desperado), and Walton Groggins (The Shield). The cast is just astounding. 

Predators is hitting theaters this July 9th.

Predators Sneak Peek

During the SXSW Film Festival , producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal held a panel for Predators. They showed the trailer, some clips and a sneak peek at the film. The trailer will get released March 18th, but the sneak peek got released online and it shows some of the cast in action and the new predator hound pic, which is awesome looking.
